Cookies policy
macc.tech uses ONE strictly necessary cookie and embeds no third-party trackers (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no ads).
Our cookie approach
In accordance with Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (transposed in Belgium under Art. XII.13 of the Code of Economic Law) and the GDPR, no cookie other than those strictly necessary for site operation is set without your explicit consent.
MACC chooses to set NO analytics or advertising cookie. No consent banner needed — there is nothing to consent to.
The only cookie set: <code>lang</code>
Name: lang
Purpose: remember your language preference (EN or FR) so you don’t go through the language picker on each visit.
Duration: 1 year (refreshed on each visit).
Domain: macc.tech (first-party only).
Set: only when you explicitly check the "Remember my choice" box and click a language. If unchecked, no cookie is set.
Legal basis: explicit consent (active user action).
No third-party trackers
macc.tech loads no third-party scripts likely to set cookies (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Hotjar, etc.).
No advertising, third-party analytics, or profiling service is integrated.
This is a deliberate posture as a cyber consultancy: we treat your privacy the way we would a client’s.
Refuse or delete cookies
To avoid setting the lang cookie: uncheck "Remember my choice" on the language picker. You will go through that page on every visit.
To delete an already-set cookie: use your browser settings (Settings → Privacy → Cookies → macc.tech).
Refusing the lang cookie has no negative impact on site functionality: everything remains accessible.
No localStorage / sessionStorage
macc.tech also does not use browser local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB) for profiling purposes.
